The CCM Tacks 9080 Elbow Pads feature CCM's D30 LITE in key areas and the 360° forearm strapping system found in the AS1 model. While the JDP cap is designed to dissipate impact energy away from the elbow joint, D30 LITE will take on any energy that makes its way through, protecting players from all types of impacts. The new strapping system featured in the AS1 trickled its way down here and offers players who purchase the 9080's the same pro-level fit, mobility, and arm lock. The forearm strap now has a 360° custom fit to help lock the arm inside and keep protection in place at all times.

The bicep guard is attached via two nylon straps, giving players a two-piece design that increases range of motion and mobility in all aspects of the game. It is well protected by a hard plastic insert that is reinforced by closed-cell foam. More closed-cell foam is used throughout the elbow cap to offer lightweight protection while medium-density foams line the interior to increase overall comfort.
